I was at a friend’s house in Saudi a month ago, and he told me that he was thinking about blocking YouTube, because he spends hours watching the silliest videos on YouTube…

why am I writing this now? well I also spend alot of time on YouTube, but yesterday I spent hours and hours watching videos, and I suddenly realized I was watching a video of an old man giving his wife a car for her 50th birthday, and one question went through my mind, “HOW DID I GET TO THIS VIDEO?“. One moment I was watching Dane Cook and before I knew it I was watching an old lady cry because she got a new car…

and a few days ago I clicked on a link to a video clip I found on Digg, and a few hours later I was watching a video of a kid opening his eyes for like 20 seconds and daring anyone to open their eyes for a longer period of time, and then it hit me… WHY AM I WATCHING THIS??

I could be doing so many other fun things like trying to finish Darkness or Unreal Tournament on my 360, I could be reading the latest on DIGG, I could be reading a few emails or posts on my friends’ blogs, but instead I was watching a kid open his eyes for 20 seconds!

and why doesn’t YouTube fix their commenting system, I think it would be better to sort the comments by most thumbs up.

A youtube user submitted a clip from EA Sports latest golf game, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09. Anyways, there was an error in the game were the golf ball falls in a lake, and Tiger would hit the ball on water…

So, Here was EA Sport’s Response and all I can say is “Genius!!”

A dear friend of mine left today to the US to get his masters degree. Seeing him leave reminded me of this picture, which I just added to my flickr account. I took this picture when I woke up on my first day in Montreal, I remember feeling a bit depressed, not because I was away from my family and friends, but because I wasn’t going to see them for the next 10 months…

A very impressive 3D virtual world called City Space will be launched soon from LiveSpace. They released a video of the city, but it was taken down for some reason. The amazing part of this, and what makes it different from SecondLife, is that the game is rendered by the server’s side, so it would run smoothly on weak computers. This server side rendering engine is called OTOY.

I saw this on youtube, and I have to say I enjoyed it so much. I played some of these games when I was in Kindergarden. Most of these GAME OVERs are from NES, my favorite game back then was teenage mutant ninja turtles…

It’s incredible how much games have become in such a short period of time, I wonder what kind of games our grandchildren will be playing…
